The story has to do with the supposed break-up between Chinedu Ikedieze, the one you know as Aki of the Aki and Pawpaw fame on the one hand and his supposed wife, Nkechi Muokwenye, on the other.

On December 10 2006, there was said to be a traditional wedding cum introduction for the two, which was also to be a prelude to the wedding proper.

It was well reported. Now a few weeks ago, there was report of a separation, which made a lot of Aki's fans to sympathize with him.

Aki later said that there was no wedding in the first place and that the supposed traditional wedding was just a birthday bash.

What Roll Tape gathered however was that there was actually a move towards marriage but the bride-to-be, Nkechi, who made Aki look like her little son whenever both stood together, had changed her mind over the whole issue of marriage. Now Aki is love -sick and miserable.
